Labelgraphics is set to move from the old Singer manufacturing site to Clydebank Business Park, creating 20 jobs. The new site is 4 acres in size and located ½ a mile from the previous site. Labelgraphics client base includes Jonnie Walker, Chivas Regal and Jacob’s Creek.

Morrison’s store will bring 280 jobs to Glasgow

Supermarket giants Morrison’s are set to create 280 jobs in Glasgow’s East End with the creating of a 50,000sq ft supermarket in a site in the Gallowgate, not far from the Barras Market. The site has been derelict from over 10 years and local councillors are very happy that the supermarket has helped the regeneration of the area.

Tesco to create 350 jobs in East End of Glasgow

Tesco will be creating a new superstore at the Forge Retail Park in Glasgow, taking over the Big W Woolworths store that has been empty for nearly 3 years. The store will contain a cafe, opticians, clothing, dry cleaners, mobile phone shops and Tesco Catalogue area. Work has already started on the site and it’s said it will be open for Christmas 2012.

Santander create 150 call centre jobs in Glasgow

Banking conglomerate Santander has moved its operations back to the UK from India. The Spanish firm said that it was customer pressure regarding complaints about poor service that promoted them to make the u-turn.
